EVTL maintains high
international standards and is committed to Safety, Health and
Environment in its operations. Terminal is ISO 9001, ISO 14001
and OHSAS 18001 certified. Terminal is also in compliant with
International Code for the Security of Ships and Port Facilities
(ISPS Code).
EVTL's safety system includes gas detection systems,
automatic deluge systems, firewater hydrants and monitors
with foam injection unit, fire truck and portable
firefighting equipment. Training courses are conducted on a
regular basis and staff is also provided training and
networking opportunities with Vopak’s overseas terminals.
Weekly fire fighting and quarterly foam drills are conducted
to ensure effective training of all operations staff at the
terminal.
